Thomas S. Vontz
Professor & Director, MAT @Kansas State University
Dr. Vontz is founding Director of K-State's Master of Arts in Teaching program and Professor of Education in the Curriculum and Instruction Department. He coordinates our elementary and secondary social studies pathways and also teaches graduate-level political science classes. Dr. Vontz has been at K-State since 2005 after an initial faculty post at Rockhurst University (2000-2005) and serving in various roles at Indiana University (1996-2000). He is a James Madison Fellow, graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and began his teaching career at Southeast High School (Lincoln, NE; 1993-1996).
