Farm Beginnings
K-State Research and Extension- Douglas County will provide a brief introduction to operating a small farm through a series of weekly meetings at noon on Thursdays from Jan 28- March 11. This program is targeted at those interested in operating a small fruit and vegetable farm or keeping a small livestock herd.

Feel free to sign up for any individual workshops or the whole series. The workshops will be recorded if you cannot make a meeting, and if you register we will email you when the recordings are available.

Feb 4- Soil and Cover Crops
Feb 11- Intro to Pest Management
Feb 18-Food Safety and Adding Value
Feb 25- Chickens
Mar 4- Small Grazers
Mar 11- Large Grazers
